Although this website is aimed at couples intending to hold their wedding ceremony at the Minerva Masonic Hall, the building is also available for hire for a wide variety of other functions as well as group activities i.e. keep-fit, weight-watchers, art class etc.

Christenings. Although we are licences to hold Christenings, the parents will need to obtained the services of a Priest of Vicar.

Parties of any kind i.e.: Birthday parties, (but under 18 year birthday parties please speak to our Events Coordinator, details below or in Contact); Engagements; Retirement; Children’s parties; social events. Our function room is also available to hire for conferences and training.

The function room is equipped with an up-to-date sound system which can be linked to most media i.e. laptop, MP3 etc. A data projector and screen are also fitted for use when the required.

For parties and social events we can offer either a full Silver-Service sit down meal, or a Buffet Menu.  The Silver-Service includes a choice from the below menu, waitress service and includes the Standard Room Charge.  The Buffet menu is ‘self-service’ but does not include the Standard Room Charge.

Our Standard Room Charge is £100 per sessions i.e. 12 noon – 1800 or 1900 – midnight.

The cost of meals does depend upon the number of diners but a typical three course meal with silver-service for 60 guests would be in the region of £1320 excluding drinks.  Our House Manager will be pleased to discuss your requirements and arrange any special needs.  He will also be happy to arrange a Disco or other live entertainment.
